Talmo Depot

Talmo, Georgia, railroad depot

In the mid-2000s, the former Gainesville Midland depot at Talmo was moved away from the railroad and rehabilitated. The nearby rails continue in use by CSX trains traveling between Gainesville and Athens.

The freight room was to the right side of the bay window.

Talmo is a town of 183 in Jackson County, about ten miles southeast of Gainesville. For more information on its history, including much about the railroad, see the city's website.
