Metter Depot

Metter's former Central of Georgia depot was constructed in 1902 and rehabilitated in the early 1990s. The depot agent's office and waiting room have been furnished in period style while the former freight room now hosts a variety of community events.

Metter (pop. 4,222) is the county seat of Candler County. The city is about 50 miles west of Savannah.
