Inman Depot

The restored depot in Inman is known locally as the Ackert Depot. That's what Southern Railway called it to minimize confusion with Inman Yard in Atlanta.

The railroad came through here in 1887-88 as the Atlanta & Florida. Southern acquired the line in 1895 and abandoned it in 1939.

Inman is an unincorporated community off GA Hwy. 92, about 5 miles south of Fayetteville.

1895 timetable showing Atlanta & Florida route. Southern Railway acquired the A&F a few months before this timetable was issued.
