Hazlehurst's depot still stands by the Norfolk Southern tracks in the center of town, where it is used by railroad crews.
Located on U.S. 341 in middle Georgia, Hazlehurst is a town of 4,268 people. It was named for George H. Hazlehurst, the civil engineer who surveyed the Macon & Brunswick Railroad through here.
