South Georgia & Florida Railroad

Steam train

In 1869 the SG&F was building a railroad from Thomasville to Albany when it was acquired by the Atlantic & Gulf Railroad. Only the section between Thomasville and Pelham (24 miles) was complete at the time. Within a year the tracks were finished all the way to Albany.

The railroad connected with the A&G’s main line at Thomasville.
