Seaboard System Railroad (Roger Puta) Seaboard System Railroad was created in 1982 when CSX Corporation merged its subsidiaries Seaboard Coast Line and Louisville & Nashville. In 1985, Seaboard System in Georgia consisted of the former lines of Seaboard Coast Line, L&N, Georgia Railroad, Atlanta & West Point Railroad, and Gainesville Midland Railroad.   Seaboard System No.2567 in downtown Cordele. On the left is No. 6683, still painted in Seaboard Coast Line colors.   The Seaboard System name lasted only four years. In mid-1986, it became CSX Transportation.     RailGa.com.
