Live Oak, Perry & Georgia Railroad

In 1995, the Live Oak, Perry & Georgia Railroad Company, Inc. (LOPG) filed a notice with the Interstate Commerce Commission to acquire and operate 83.5 miles of rail line of Norfolk Southern Railway and its subsidiary, Georgia Southern & Florida Railway. The line consisted of 76 miles of track from Adel, Georgia, to Perry, Florida, and 6 miles from Perry to Foley, Florida.

On December 15, 1995, LOPG and the Georgia & Florida Railroad Company entered into a contract in which G&F agreed to handle all railroad operations for LOPG. Georgia's Railroad History & Heritage. © Steve Storey
