Georgia Great Southern Railroad A subsidiary of the former RailTex, Inc., of San Antonio, Texas, the GGS briefly operated the former CSX line between Albany and Dawson. In 1995, the operations of the Georgia Great Southern were consolidated into RailTex’s Georgia Southwestern Railroad. On February 4, 2000, RailTex was acquired by RailAmerica, Inc.
