Thomaston & Barnesville Railroad

The 16-mile line from Thomaston to Barnesville was constructed by the Thomaston & Barnesville Railroad Company, chartered in 1839. After much delay, the line opened in October 1857. The company was reorganized as the Upson County Railroad in 1860.
