The "Folkston Funnel"
CSX trains running down the east coast to Florida, as well as those heading south from Rice Yard at Waycross, are "funneled" through the southeast Georgia town of Folkston, which sees up to sixty trains daily. The town's new train-watching platform includes an audio system tuned to local rail frequencies.
The canopy over the platform provides welcome shade in the summer.
