Americus Electric Car No. 2
Recently restored, this little rail car was the first trolley to operate in Americus (1890). It later became a kitchen for county prisoners and then was converted into a cottage on nearby Lake Blackshear. Americus artist Anna Cheokas led an effort to return it to town and restore it to its original trolley appearance. (Inside Lake Blackshear Regional Library on Lamar Street).
