Louisville & Wadley RailwayThe Louisville & Wadley Railway was incorporated in 1961 to purchase the 10-mile Louisville and Wadley Railroad from the Central of Georgia. In 1971 the section of track from Louisville to Gibson Junction was abandoned. The remaining 2 miles from Wadley to Gibson Junction remained in operation. Today the rails on this short section remain in place, but the vegetation on the right of way indicates that they have not been used in years.
