Hilton & Albany Railroad

The Hilton & Albany (HAL) is a new short line operating since early 2012 in southwestern Georgia. Its 56 miles of track, leased from Norfolk Southern, run from Albany through Leary, Arlington, and Blakely on the way to Hilton, where a connection is made with the Chattahoochee Industrial Railroad (CIRR) and the Chattahoochee Bay Railroad. All three are subsidiaries of Genesee & Wyoming, Inc.

The line was originally constructed by the Central of Georgia between 1873 and 1889.
