Foy Railroad

The 10-mile Foy Railroad was primarily a logging road, but it also served as a common carrier from 1895 through 1903, according to reports of the Railroad Commission of Georgia for those years. Operated by the E.E. Foy Lumber Company, the railroad connected the northern Bulloch County village of Portal to the Central of Georgia Railway at Rocky Ford.
