Plains Depot

One of the best-known former rail stations in Georgia is the old Seaboard Air Line depot in Plains, Georgia. The 1888 building, which served as Jimmy Carter's presidential campaign headquarters in 1976, is now a museum with self-guided exhibits on his campaign.

Plains (pop. 764) is in western Sumter County in southwest Georgia.
